Today's Workout

Deadlift 5-5-5-5-5 - increasing weight each set
In between each set of Deadlifts do 1min max Double Unders then rest 3mins

    Congrats to Sarah I really enjoyed reading her post and am even more proud to share a worthless Umass Amherst Degree. As far as Sheehy I am not sure who he is but that picture from the first Woodstock in 1969 is pretty awesome.

    On a personal note I miss the gym very much. I found out today after getting injured on the job a week ago my ankle is not sprained but actually broken in two places. I have been placed in a boot and can’t drive for two weeks. If someone is willing to drive me I will be available to attend any class time as i will be out of work for another 3 weeks. WAHHHH!!!

    Its great to read the MOM stories and get a better understanding of who they are outside the gym. Congrats Sara and Sheehy!

    315 w 13 du’s. This is one of those workouts that’s like being in a minor car accident; you feel fine right when its over but will feel worse as the adrenalin wears off.

    Congratulations to Sarah and Brian.  I think Brian scored best on the first Fran I attended as a new member (and muddled through), so I was in awe right off the bat.  It’s still interesting to read your journey.  Same with Sarah…bright light, lots of fun, willing to be kidded and works darn hard when she’s at the WOD. 
    Today sucked for me.  I pulled my back on round two of dead lifts. Went up too fast and used BAD form. I got a roller, rolled the back pull, and started lower – end result? 120#.  Not as high as in the past on multiple dead lifts but this was a different routine.  Using a heating pad, stretching, finally succumbed to a handful of Advill so I could walk.  But it was a GREAT CLASS.
    Thanks 7:30′ers for welcoming me. Rita, always a Craic Angel, thanks for the push on the last round.  And Jarrod – always – thank you for such great coaching.  Sometimes it ricochets in my head around before it settles in…but I am getting soooo much better.  So hobbled as I am today, I really can’t wait to do more dead lifts. :)

    Congrats to this month’s MOMs. I love when Sheehy walks through the doors at a class I’m in because I know I need to raise my game to keep up. Sarah looks good in a cape, as a dude (Beetlejuice) or anything she chooses. Keep up the good work.+

    I am also very excited because I reached a new PR, 1 RepMax of 250# for my Deadlift and I did it twice because Pete did not see me the first time.

    Congrats to the two MOMS and also to Nicole B. on her PR of 250# Deadlift.
    Took it slow today but managed 175#/23 DUs. The DUs were PRs for me. These were my first since I joined Craic. I managed 2 in a row 6 or 7 times. Its funny how excited you can get when you reach a goal. Woo Hoo!

    A) DL 3-3-3-1-1-1 – ended up with 285# maintaining form
    B) AMRAP15 of 5 HSPUs/10 KB lunges @25#/15 HR pushups
    Lots of push up! Arms and shoulders are junk 6+4
